What is Tiki?
During this 2 hour course we’ll closely look into the history of tiki from the famous Los Angeles bar called Don the Beachcomber in 1934 which started a whole new fundamental of cocktails to the industry.
We’ll talk R(h)um, juices, exotic ingredients and of course garnishes. Techniques used for tiki drinks such as a cuban roll (also known as throw), frappe blender, cocktail blender. We’ll talk about the usage of over the top garnishes that defines tiki tiki along with the famous specialty mugs. This class is meant to let you escape the city and everything around you.
Everyone will be provided with their own "bar station" stocked with equipment to get shaking up their own tiki cocktails to drink and critique your creations along the way!
